Flash Notes is the perfect way to help individuals learn to read music notes quickly. Choose if you would like to practice notes from the alto clef, bass clef, tenor clef, treble clef, or any combination of the four. Tapping on each note reveals the note name (in scientific and Helmholtz notation) and will indicate if it is natural, flat, or sharp. The corresponding piano sound plays so that you can start associating each note with its position on the piano. The piano key for the note is also visually displayed. A simple but effective application that will get you sight reading traditional music notes in no time.
A preferences menu allows you to narrow down which notes you would like to concentrate on by adding or removing notes on ledger lines and selecting the desired clefs. You can turn sharps/flats on and off, indicate if you would like to see the piano keys associated with the note, and turn the piano sounds on or off.
Flash Notes contains 86 different notes that correspond to 276 possible different note images. Each note has been painstakingly generated from an actual piano to help you associate each note with it’s correct octave.
